My personal journey of redefining confidence and balance after burnout, changed me in ways I never expected. It sparked a genuine passion to create a space for women like me. Women who have kept pushing through, even when they were running on empty.

I know what it’s like to put everyone else first. To ignore the signs, and to keep going, even when you’re struggling. I’ve been there. Even though I wish I hadn’t hit a wall before realising the need to prioritise myself, burnout was the push I needed to start prioritising my own well-being.

Now, I’m sharing what I’ve learned. So you don’t have to wait for everything to fall apart to start putting yourself first.

This space is where I share what’s helped me start showing up differently. With clarity, self-respect, and zero guilt about putting myself first. I’m certain it can help you too.

I’m here to help you build unshakable confidence. To reconnect with yourself, and live life on your own terms, without the burnout.

What Burnout Feels Like

Burnout doesn’t come in one sudden wave. It creeps in slowly, over time, especially when you keep pushing your limits without giving yourself a chance to rest. At first, it’s barely noticeable. But the more you ignore your needs, the more it builds. Until one day, you’re left feeling completely drained, and you just can’t continue in the same way anymore.

That’s exactly what happened to me. I pushed myself relentlessly, trying to meet self-imposed, unattainable expectations at work and in life.

In the early stages, my confidence made it appear that I had everything under control. So when that started to crack (which it does as a side effect), it became clear that I had been pushing myself beyond my limits for far too long. I really was just masking my exhaustion with a smile.

The constant pressure to balance it all eventually took its toll, and burnout set in, leading to chronic illness.

On my neurologist’s advice, I was forced to slow down. And in the thick of it all, that meant making the incredibly difficult decision to walk away from my career as a lawyer.

When I finally stopped, I came to a harsh realisation: I had been neglecting my own needs for years. I felt lost, unanchored, and completely disconnected from who I really was.

That’s when I knew something had to change.

I had to let go of the need to do it all.

And that wasn’t easy.

Rebuilding Confidence and Finding Balance after Burnout

Every day, I had to make a conscious effort to slow down. To embrace the uncomfortable art of rest. I started introducing simple joys into my life, like reading, journaling and long walks. But still, my mind wouldn’t switch off. That relentless mental buzz continued- classic burnout brain!

But slowly, as I reconnected with myself, I saw how much of me I had lost over the years trying to meet these impossible standards. And so I worked on understanding the power of saying no, and how to set healthy boundaries, not just with others, but with myself. I began to listen to my inner voice, to honour my needs, and to build a healthier lifestyle.

Step by step, I rebuilt my confidence from the inside out.

I learned the art of balance, and I now know what to do and what not to do to ensure that I don’t burn out again.
